About Andrew
Andrew Burns is an Executive Director and Client Specialist at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Based in San Francisco, Andrew collaborates closely with advisor teams to help uncover the crucial planning and investment opportunities aimed at helping clients effectively manage their wealth. He takes a holistic approach to assessing each client's needs and objectives, drawing on deep experience to help them address planning considerations related to investments, tax and risk awareness, estate considerations and retirement planning. His work emphasizes keeping clients' priorities front and center as they chart a course forward.
Andrew joined J.P. Morgan in 2025 after serving as an advisor to a large practice of high-net-worth clients at Charles Schwab in Menlo Park, California. During that time, he was responsible for deepening client relationships and supporting families through significant financial milestones, including liquidity events, retirement and multi-generational considerations. His experience working with Silicon Valley technology professionals, business owners and affluent families has shaped his perspective on concentrated positions, equity compensation, taxable estate planning considerations and private and alternative investment structures.
Andrew holds a B.S. in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis. Underscoring his commitment to being a valuable thought partner for clients, he went on to earn the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, Certified Private Wealth Advisor® and Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM designations.
Originally from San Diego, Andrew lives in San Francisco with his wife and their mini goldendoodle. In his free time, he enjoys travelling and is currently working towards his next educational milestone, a master's in taxation.
