About Michael
Michael Podkulski is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Mike takes a planning-based approach to delivering investment advisory and ESOP guidance to his team's institutional and individual clients, many of whom have been with the group for decades. He combines process, discipline, and customer care to address clients' goals, making a point of maintaining regular contact and advising them on challenges and opportunities they deem essential.
As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Mike begins each relationship with a clear understanding of goals, timeframes and risk parameters. He formulates asset allocation strategies and designs portfolios to help clients pursue their important aspirations. Whether planning for retirement or selling a business, he assists them in preparing for both likely and unforeseen circumstances.
Mike developed a passion for the securities markets by reading stock tables as a child, which led to beginning his financial services career at MBNA (now Bank of America) as a business and marketing analyst. He moved to Paine Webber (now UBS) to pursue investment management, where he worked with several of his current colleagues before the team joined J.P. Morgan in 2011.
A graduate of the University of Connecticut, Mike earned a B.S. in Finance and a B.A. in Political Science.
Mike lives in Atlanta and is committed to serving his community. In addition to donating platelets and volunteering at a homeless shelter, he coaches youth soccer, a sport he also plays. Mike also enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and traveling internationally.
CFP Board owns the marks CFP® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® in the U.S.
