About Michael
Michael Varzi is a Managing Director and Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Michael is a partner of The VK Group and brings a planning approach to advise affluent individuals, families, retirees and entrepreneurs on all aspects of their financial picture. His focus is on guiding these clients—who have established a substantial level of success—in developing a holistic wealth plan that helps make the best use of their assets. He views his role as similar to a physician, helping manage each client's financial health.
Michael is a dedicated student of wealth management and has earned many highly-recognized industry designations which attest to his comprehensive financial services background. His strengths include designing strategies for asset protection, investment management, tax efficiency, estate planning and more.
Originally from Iran, Michael came to the U.S. as a fifteen-year-old to study electro-mechanical computer science at a prestigious university. Soon after, he lost his father, and, unable to return home during the 1979 Iranian revolution, found himself with $400 in his pocket and no source of financial support. Michael moved to Atlanta, where he washed dishes and waited tables 70 hours a week while simultaneously attending a local college. His hard work paid off and he landed on his feet, fortunate to bring his mother and sister over to the safety of this country.
As one who has lived the "American Dream," Michael is an ambassador for others working to establish a generational legacy. Accustomed to being the 'first' in many roles, he excels at building inclusive relationships in many diverse communities.
Michael began his career almost four decades ago after graduating from Kennesaw State University with a B.S. in Financial Services. Michael earned an M.S. in Financial Services from The American College and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. He joined J.P. Morgan in 2023 for the opportunity to pair his wealth management capabilities with the attention of an intimate, boutique office and the scale of America's largest bank.
Highly respected in the Atlanta area, Michael's passion is ensuring the well-being of his family and clients. In his spare time, he volunteers with The Andrew Young Foundation. Michael and his wife, Afrouz, have two children, Arman and Tara, and he is tremendously proud of their accomplishments. His hobbies include golf, fishing and traveling.
CFP Board owns the marks CFP® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® in the U.S.
