About Bob
Bob Austrian is an Executive Director and Client Specialist at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Headquartered in our San Francisco offices, Bob works in partnership with the full breadth of J.P. Morgan Wealth Management Advisors and investment professionals, focusing on clients in the Bay Area and throughout much of the Pacific and Mountain time zones. As a Client Specialist and Wall Street veteran with more than 30 years of experience spanning investments, equity research, planning, institutional strategies and family wealth management, Bob works directly and deeply with clients to help deliver personalized J.P. Morgan approaches that best address each client's wealth circumstances and opportunities.
A trusted, long-term partner to families seeking comprehensive, customized financial advice for their personal or business affairs, Bob works to assess and meticulously address each client's specific wealth management needs, opportunities and sensitivities. He then works hand-in-hand with J.P. Morgan professionals to help optimize each client's long-term financial well-being and—importantly—to provide the confidence and comfort that families deserve and have come to cherish.
Before joining J.P. Morgan, Bob spent 12 years in wealth management at Neuberger Berman, where he advised private clients, developed customized wealth planning strategies and helped manage global thematic equity portfolios. Previously, Bob was a leading Wall Street research analyst following the software technology sector for firms including Bank of America, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley.
Bob and his wife of 33 years have two adult sons—one an attorney in New York and the other a musician in Los Angeles—and have lived in Tiburon since 1996. In his spare time, he is an accomplished amateur singer focused on jazz and the Great American Songbook, serves as a community volunteer, and is a lifelong and avid (but relatively slow) runner. Bob earned a B.A. in Economics from Colgate University and an M.B.A with Honors from the NYU Stern School of Business.
