About Jake

Jake Smith is a Client Associate at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

Jake Smith serves as a senior investment analyst and director of research. As a voting member of the team's investment committee, he conducts equity, fixed income and macroeconomic research in support of client investment portfolios. Jake leads the team's implementation of specialty asset class strategies, including the use of alternative investments and equity derivatives. He is also responsible for managing day-to-day business activities, credit solutions, client account oversight and risk governance.

Jake is a Harvard College graduate with an A.B. in Government. He is a Series 7 and 66 licensed professional. He was a three-time Michigan state champion and starting quarterback for the Harvard football team, receiving All-Ivy accolades. He remains ranked among the Crimson's top 10 in career passing yards, completions, and touchdown passes. Jake enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle through fitness and enjoys spending time in northern Michigan with friends and family.
