About James
Jim Taylor is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
He is the founder of The Taylor Group and brings over 30 years of experience in wealth management to serve an exclusive group of successful individuals, families, entrepreneurs and corporate executives located across the United States. Together with his team, Jim uses a consultative approach to design a customized plan that helps address each client's unique needs and long-term objectives. He has earned the trust of a generation of successful families through his knowledgeable and seasoned guidance.
Jim began his career in 1986 at Bank of Boston and founded The Taylor Group at Smith Barney in 1993. Most recently, he was a Managing Director at UBS Wealth Management. Jim is a Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA) and holds the FINRA Series 7 securities license, as well as life insurance and commodities licenses.
Born and raised in Massachusetts, Jim is a graduate of Babson College where he majored in Finance and Investments. He continues to remain active with his alma mater and is currently a member of the College Advisory Board as well as the Cutler Center for Investments and Finance Advisory Board. Previously, Jim served as a member of the College's Board of Trustees for 12 years as well as serving a term as President of the Alumni Association.
Jim plays an active role in his community, serving as a Board Member of the Hingham Historical Society as well as a former chair of his town's Advisory Board.
Additionally, Jim is currently a member of the Board of Ambassadors for the New England Aquarium, and raises funds for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, an organization that has personal meaning for his family.
Married for over 20 years, Jim and his wife have two children and a menagerie of animals. He likes to travel, play golf, root for the local sports teams and spend time with his family.
