About Brian
Brian Garza is an Executive Director and the Head of Lending Engagement at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Brian acts as an extension of each Advisor's practice, working to understand clients' needs and connect their wealth goals to innovative lending capabilities across the firm's platform. He positions himself as a conduit to the vast array of resources offered by J.P. Morgan, providing Advisors with holistic options for various client opportunities.
Leveraging nearly two decades of experience in guiding business strategy, Brian puts the Advisors' practices and their clients at the forefront of everything he does. He is laser-focused on delivering top-notch service, and his approach blends big-picture business needs with attention to the fine details of every scenario.
Brian began his career in the financial services industry as a Teller for a small community bank. After advancing to a role in commercial lending, he became a Personal Banker and then Branch Manager at Bank of America.
As his career progressed, Brian advanced through the ranks, becoming a Regional Manager, Head of Client Experience for Home Loans Servicing, then Head of Mortgage Servicing Reconciliation and ultimately an Executive in Fulfillment for Employee Lending. He supported US Trust during most of his career at Bank of America and was a part of the US Trust and LaSalle transition teams. Brian went on to be the Head of UHNW for Home Lending at Morgan Stanley, where he managed a large team who cared for the sophisticated needs of some of the largest relationships at the firm. There, he oversaw Custom Mortgage Lending, Entity Lending and International Lending.
Brian most recently served as Head of Affluent/One Chase for Home Lending, responsible for strategy, support and execution including supporting U.S. Wealth Management and partnering with the Private Bank. He joined J.P. Morgan in 2022.
A son of Latin immigrants, Brian grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. He holds a B.S. in Finance and Marketing from Texas Wesleyan University. Brian lives in Highland Village, Texas with his wife, Angela, and their three children, Merrick, Brooks and Anderson. The Garzas are active members of Keep Nature Wild and avid fans of the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Cowboys. He has a passion for running, travel and exploring new cuisines.
