About Matthew
Matthew Hall is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Matt works closely with a nationwide clientele, including C-suite executives, successful entrepreneurs and highand ultra-high-net-worth individuals to help them address their wealth objectives. He integrates a suite of strategies and services such as portfolio management, tax and estate planning and gifting. Matt formulates customized plans to manage each client's existing assets in pursuit of their financial future. He proudly offers direct access to J.P. Morgan's global capabilities and thought leadership.
With deep foundational knowledge gained over three decades of financial services industry experience, Matt focuses on developing an intimate understanding of each client's values and vision. He considers their short- and long-term goals and is cognizant that clients are often planning not only for their own aspirations but also for the generations to follow.
Before joining J.P. Morgan in 2023, Matt spent nearly 20 years at First Republic Private Wealth Management, advising high-net-worth investors on their portfolios. He previously served as a Senior Vice President in marketing and client relations at Starbuck, Tisdale & Associates, before which he spent 13 years managing the Private Client Group at Roger Engemann & Associates. Earlier in his career, he held positions in the Trust Investments departments at both United Mercantile Bank (Pasadena) and City National Bank (Beverly Hills).
Matt holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. He serves as President of the American Friends of Belvoir Castle, the U.S. nonprofit fundraising arm for the Duke and Duchess of Rutland's effort to conserve, restore and manage their historic British ancestral home. He is also an avid military historian and a classic car aficionado. Matt grew up in London and has lived around the world, including in Europe, Africa, Colorado and the Southwest, and enjoys traveling. He currently makes his home in Los Angeles.
