About Ben
Ben Goebert is a Wealth Advisor with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management. Ben is a founding member of The Fagerlind-Goebert Group and draws on his deep retirement planning capabilities to deliver tailored investment portfolio strategies. He works directly with entrepreneurs, business owners, successful professionals and their families to address complex and comprehensive wealth management needs.
Ben helps to simplify financial lives and sets individuals on a course to pursue short- and long-term goals. Known for his engaging manner, he has a keen ability to relate to a younger generation of wealth, educating clients about the many facets of investment management and empowering them to consider their own goals and objectives. Through his attention to detail and in-depth knowledge of planning considerations, Ben builds custom portfolios designed to grow with the individual. He is deeply committed to fostering trusted relationships and strives for excellence in every encounter.
With over 16 years of financial experience, Ben began his career at Commerce One, where he designed equity portfolios for high-net-worth investors. He transitioned to TD Ameritrade as an investment consultant and grounded himself in the fundamentals of asset allocation, goals-based planning, long-term investment guidance, portfolio construction and retirement planning. Ben was with Merrill Lynch for eight years, starting in its Fifth Avenue office in New York City as a critical member of a large advisory practice. He moved to Los Angeles with the firm in 2014 and co-founded The Fagerlind-Goebert Group. Together, the team joined J.P. Morgan in 2018 to provide clients with a hands-on and boutique-quality experience delivered within a world-class financial organization.
Ben is an alumnus of Windward School in Mar Vista and attended Northeastern University, where he earned a B.S. in International Business with concentrations in Finance and Spanish. As part of his academic program, Ben spent one year at ICADE Business School of Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid. He is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF).
A native of Los Angeles, Ben has lived on both the East and West Coast. He has also lived in Mexico and Spain, and is fluent in Spanish. He currently resides in Mar Vista with his wife, Jessica and son, Ryder. In his spare time, Ben enjoys cooking and traveling. He is an avid sports fan and roots for the Dodgers, Lakers and LAFC.
