About Charles
Charles Cooper is a Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
As a founding member of The McPharlin Cooper Group, he leverages his strong relationship management skills to deliver holistic advisory guidance for the team's high-net-worth clients and their families.
Charles believes what sets the Group apart from other wealth management practices within the financial advisory industry is its focus on both sides of the balance sheet to consider assets as well as liabilities within each individual's total financial picture. This attention to the many factors of wealth management enables him to deliver a broad suite of planning, strategic investment, and executive services. Charles works very closely with the J.P. Morgan Mortgage Advisory team to address mortgage financing, lending, and credit needs. He displays an intense work ethic and helps ensure that nothing falls through the cracks.
Taking a leadership path to a career in financial services, Charles graduated magna cum laude from The Citadel, the Military College of the South. He holds a B.B.A. with a concentration in Finance. Charles interned at Merrill Lynch while in school, and upon graduation, joined the firm and the team. In 2018, they transitioned to J.P. Morgan, where he is pleased to deliver financial guidance and streamlined investment solutions that have a positive effect within his community.
Charles resides with his wife, Sara Kate, and two children, in Charleston, South Carolina. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his kids, golf, and volunteering with The Ronald McDonald House. He is a foodie with an affinity for both exclusive restaurants and Southern barbeque.
