About Evan
Evan Troop is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Evan brings an institutional-quality approach, intellectual capital and enhanced fund capabilities to middle market clients. He partners with the investment bank and asset management group to deliver equity and fixed income execution, investment strategies, lending resources and cash management for corporates, family offices, RIAs, hedge funds and private equity firms.
Taking a leadership path to financial services, Evan graduated summa cum laude from the United States Merchant Marine Academy with a B.S. in Marine Transportation, a commission in the United States Navy and a 3rd mate unlimited tonnage license which allows him to navigate commercial vessels. He worked for Transocean as a second officer aboard the Development Driller III, supporting notable projects that included the Macondo 252 relief-well operation, which successfully capped the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Evan served and retired as a Lieutenant in the United States Naval Reserves with Military Sealift Command.
Switching gears, Evan earned an academic scholarship to the SMU Cox School of Business and completed his M.B.A. in Finance and Strategy. He began his career as a Private Banker at J.P. Morgan where he advised family offices and high-net-worth individuals and delivered resources for lending, trust & estate capabilities and capital investment ideas.
He segued to his current role in 2015 to provide clients with access to the firm's world-class products and services and a broad suite of transactional, asset management and investment advisory strategies.
Evan is a Vice President of the North Texas Alumni Chapter for USMMA and a member of the Watermark church. He sits on the board at the Parenting Center, an organization dedicated to offering members and professionals the tools, resources and services to build successful outcomes.
Evan resides in Dallas, and enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, hockey, football, snowboarding, wakeboarding and playing guitar.
