About Justin

Justin Burns is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

With 20 years of experience focused on the institutional markets, Justin draws on his sales, trading and workflow management background to provide a differentiated level of exposure and execution for hedge funds, RIAs, private banks, family offices, pension funds and endowments.

As the head trader for the team, Justin has deep proficiency in portfolio, agency and block trading. His detailed understanding of capital market structure and participants, liquidity sourcing, pricing and market making is his defining capability. Justin works closely with the Investment Bank and trading desks, which help form his investment ideas and help ensure successful execution.

Pursuing his lifelong interest in financial markets, Justin earned a B.S. in Economics from Texas Christian University, with an emphasis in capital market structure. He began his trading career at Southwest Securities in Dallas, Texas, and managed the opening and operation of its trading desk in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Justin gained buy-side experience as head trader of a small startup hedge fund. He moved to FX Capital Markets as the Vice President of Institutional Sales and Trading, and assisted in opening and managing its newly developed Dallas office. Justin advanced his capabilities at Esposito Securities and was promoted to Head of Portfolio Trading. He joined J.P. Morgan in 2012 to offer clients the firm's open architecture platform.

Involved in the industry and community, Justin is a member of the Dallas Security Traders' Association, and previously sat on its board. He serves on the Dallas Economic Development Committee and the Academic Board of St. Elizabeth of Hungary.

Justin resides in Dallas and enjoys spending time with friends and family, outdoor activities, music and attending sporting events.
