About Evan

Evan Weiss is an Executive Director and the Head of Life Insurance at J.P. Morgan Advisors, a division of J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

Evan leads the J.P. Morgan Advisors Life Insurance Specialist Planning team. In addition to his leadership responsibilities, he works closely with individuals and families to design and implement coordinated insurance strategies including life and long-term care risk management. He is experienced in collaborating with clients' teams of advisors, including trust and estate lawyers, accountants, investment managers and family office professionals. His clients come from all industries and markets, and include private equity, venture capital, biotech and pharmaceuticals professionals, as well as professional athletes, technology entrepreneurs, business owners and those with inherited wealth.

Before joining J.P. Morgan in 2023, Evan was a Managing Director and an Estate and Business Planning Specialist at First Republic, a J.P. Morgan predecessor firm, since 2018. He launched his career in 2005 as a Financial Advisor at Northwestern Mutual. Partnered with an experienced senior advisor from the start of his career, he worked closely with high- and ultra-high-net-worth families to develop insurance portfolios designed to maximize wealth transfer and minimize estate taxes. His 20 years of experience in this market has afforded him the ability to advise and support multiple generations of affluent families.

Evan holds a B.S. in Economics from Bucknell University, where he was a member of the NCAA Division I varsity baseball team.

Today, he lives in Newton, Massachusetts, with his wife, Mikel, and their very athletic and high energy daughters, Olivia and Winnie.
