About Scott

T. Scott Holstead is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

As one of the two founding members of the J.P. Morgan Wealth Management office in Houston, Scott works with a select group of high and ultra-high-net-worth multi-generational Texas families, philanthropic foundations and Texas-based private equity firms to help them address the complexities of today's financial markets.

Scott draws on his 22 years of experience to navigate market volatility. He leverages the intellectual capital of J.P. Morgan to construct tailored investment solutions for his clients. He enjoys engaging with families and building lasting relationships to provide them with the guidance, comfort and confidence they need for prudent long-term wealth creation and preservation.

Scott honed his investment management capabilities at Goldman Sachs, UBS Financial Services and Merrill Lynch. He and the other members of the team joined J.P. Morgan in 2018 to provide clients with the firm's wealth of products and services, delivering it all within a boutique setting.

Scott is a graduate of Washington & Lee University where he earned a B.A. in Political Science. He holds an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. Scott began his career in 1989 at the U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Tax Policy. He also worked in the White House's Office of National Service during George H.W. Bush's presidency.

A role model in his community, Scott is an Eagle Scout, a board member of the Memorial Hermann Foundation and a founding board member of the Texas Alternatives Foundation. He has served on the boards of The Kinkaid School's Development Board and the Texas Children's Cancer Center. He is a supporter of the Post Oak Little League, the Boy Scouts of America and the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. He also serves on the Parent Leadership Council at Washington & Lee University. Scott resides in Houston with his wife, Jill, and their two children.
