About Christopher
Christopher Sheets is an Executive Director and Wealth Advisor with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management. As a co-founder of the Sheets Green Group, Chris leverages his background in capital markets and wealth planning to deliver guidance that can address the complex objectives of high-net-worth individuals.
Chris employs a due diligence process to design asset allocations that align with personalized goals, often utilizing investments in the alternative and private investments space which may help significantly enhance risk-adjusted returns over that of traditional stock and bond portfolios.
He has a particular affinity for helping business owners with the specific requirements of pre- and post-liquidity planning, and the potential for meaningfully improving post-sale outcomes for families considering the sale of a closely held business.
A graduate of the University of Colorado, Chris holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the Leeds School of Business with a minor equivalency in Economics. He earned a dual Area of Emphasis in both Marketing and International Business. As part of his schooling, Chris studied abroad with Semester at Sea, a shipboard program that offers experiential learning opportunities in international ports around the globe. This adventure immersed him in many of the world's diverse economies and fueled his interest in global markets.
For the first 10 years of his professional life, Chris held multiple business development roles working for both J & J Industries and one of the portfolio companies of Berkshire Hathaway. For the past 18 years, he has served as a Financial Advisor, most recently at Bernstein Private Wealth Management, where he was named Principal in 2007, and as a leader in the Houston office, being named to the Senior Investment Advisors Group in 2009. Chris joined J.P. Morgan in 2018, attracted by the firm's entrepreneurial environment and client-centric resources.
A resident of Houston, Chris and his wife, Julie, have two sons, Cameron and Sean, and enjoy the boys' many athletic activities. In his down time, he enjoys sharing his lifelong love of boating with them. Chris raises funds for SEARCH Homeless Services, an organization dedicated to helping thousands of individuals and families move from the streets into jobs and safe, stable homes. He and his family play a meaningful role in their local community and give back to worthy causes close to their hearts.
