About Valda
Valda Jordan is a Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Valda draws on more than a decade of significant experience to offer complex financial strategies to affluent individuals. Her clients, who include professional athletes, entertainers, successful entrepreneurs and C-suite executives across the nation, are ambitious and self-disciplined, driven by a strong personal desire to accomplish meaningful, important goals.
Valda understands the personal nature of wealth management and creates a safe space for clients to discuss their financial aspirations. She is known as someone who places each individual's needs front and center, and her strength can be found in her in-depth discovery process of getting to know her clients and the details of their unique story. By assessing a client's needs across both sides of the balance sheet, Valda delivers holistic and goals-based guidance through a comprehensive wealth plan. She couples a boutique level of service with the powerful resources of a global leader to best serve her clients and their families.
Before joining J.P. Morgan in 2022, Valda spent nine years as a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch. Previously, she was a Financial Advisor at Principal Financial Group and worked in offshore private banking at Crédit Agricole Indousez. She possesses a passion for entrepreneurship and is a sought-after sounding board, helping clients flesh out ideas for building and improving their businesses, and gaining access to resources.
A graduate of Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia, Canada, Valda earned a B.A. with an advanced major in Economics. She also holds an M.B.A. in International Business from the University of Miami and a Diploma in French Language from Université de Droit et D'Economie D'Aix-Marseille in France. In addition, she holds the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC®) and the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) designations.
Valda was born in California and grew up in the Caribbean. She enjoys the local cuisine, culture and beautiful turquoise beaches of the islands. She now resides in Houston, Texas, and finds any crystal blue coastline an ideal vacation spot for remembering her roots.
