About Jason
Jason Whong is an Executive Director on the Wealth Planning and Advice team, covering the Northwest Region for J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Jason works with high-net-worth clients and their businesses to design strategies that build, sustain and transfer wealth based on their distinct priorities. He has significant experience working with business owners and investors to structure and implement succession strategies and to plan for liquidity needs, and he consults with clients on issues related to philanthropy, family legacy and taxation.
Jason has over 20 years of tax, legal and banking experience. He previously worked as a Wealth Strategist at two large financial institutions: at Seyfarth Shaw LLP, a global law firm, as a tax partner; and at Hewlett-Packard Company as a Financial Accountant.
He earned his B.S. in Accounting from San Jose State University, his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law, and his Master of Laws (Taxation) from New York University School of Law. He is a member of the California State Bar and a licensed Certified Public Accountant. He also holds an insurance license.
