About Katie
Katie Lennon is an Executive Director and the Head of Custom Lending at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Katie manages the Custom Lending portfolio, leading a team of Specialists who consult with Advisors and their high-net-worth clients to address complex credit needs. Her focus is on helping navigate the end-to-end credit request process from origination and structuring through booking and funding, as well as the annual review process.
The Custom Lending team assesses a client's full financial picture and debt capacity, offering monetization strategies and products to meet their liquidity objectives. The product suite includes secured loans backed by concentrated stock, hedge funds and alternative investments, art, aircraft and yacht financing, life insurance premium financing, full-recourse commercial real estate financing and unsecured loans. The team also assists with non-traditional wealth management borrower/entity clients.
Katie joined J.P. Morgan in 2021. Previously, she spent 16 years at UBS covering tailored and specialty loans for ultra-high-net-worth clients. There, she served in various origination, underwriting and credit risk roles. Katie was a Senior Tailored Lending Specialist covering the Western and Central Regions, and led the launch of the Private Stock Loan product, serving as the Specialist for that product nationwide. She also served as the Head of Credit Risk for the UBS U.S. Private Bank and the Local Head of Credit Risk for UBS Bahamas Ltd., where she was responsible for risk decisioning, review and oversight of credit exposures derived from those booking centers. She gained experience in multi-jurisdiction and cross-border risk issues through international assignments in Singapore and the Bahamas.
A graduate of the Boston College Carroll School of Management, Katie holds a B.S. in Finance with a minor in Art History. She holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.
Katie resides in Mill Valley, CA, with her husband and two small children. When time allows, she enjoys travel, hiking, cooking and interior design projects.
