About Justin
Justin Tipp is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
As the founder of The Tipp Bruno Team, Justin provides leadership, advice, and guidance to ultra-high-net-worth clients, helping them pursue their aspirations and define their legacies. With more than three decades of experience in wealth management, he offers the knowledge and perspective he has gained from advising a high-achieving clientele, supporting a more unified approach to multiple facets of their financial affairs.
Justin is adept in advising financially successful individuals and families, as well as nonprofit organizations and foundations. He appreciates the distinctive needs of real estate investors, private equity principals, senior executives and entrepreneurs, allowing them to capitalize on opportunities, while mitigating possible risks. A fiduciary, Justin is obligated to pursue a client's best interest—an expectation that he is proud to uphold. He explains, "We look to do the right thing and take care of each client. Everything else follows." Justin builds enduring relationships with clients and their families, gaining an intimate familiarity with their goals and aspirations. That understanding, he notes, is instrumental to charting a more direct path to their priorities.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Wealth Management in 2023, Justin was a Managing Director and Wealth Manager at First Republic Investment Management, where he worked for more than 11 years. Earlier, he was a Senior Portfolio Manager for U.S. Bank's Private Client Reserve, where he oversaw the management of sophisticated individual and institutional portfolios and private foundations. Justin's career also includes tenures as an estate planning attorney and a Financial Advisor with Prudential Securities, where he specialized in strategies for high-net-worth individuals, nonprofit organizations and private foundations.
Justin obtained his B.A. from the University of Washington and spent a term at Oxford in England. He earned his J.D. from California Western School of Law and is a member of the American Bar Association and the State Bar of California. He holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® designation. A graduate of the Army Navy Academy in San Diego, Justin serves on the Board of Trustees and the Finance Committee of his alma mater.
Justin and his wife have three children: a son and two daughters. Their family circle includes their much-loved cats and dogs. Justin's wife is an ER doctor. Together, they regularly perform medical missions to countries in need—most recently to Ghana and Ecuador. Originally from Hawaii, Justin enjoys sailing and surfing.
CFP Board owns the marks CFP® and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® in the U.S.
