About Robert
Robert E. Lovitt is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
For the last three-plus decades, Bob has crafted personalized, value-oriented investment portfolios for a wide range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, corporations, foundations, endowments and retirement plans. Drawing on knowledge gained over multiple market cycles, he is a seasoned professional who advises on comprehensive, long-term investment and wealth management strategies to help clients optimize their opportunities and pursue their sophisticated needs.
Bob cares deeply about clients' financial success, working hard to understand their values and objectives. At the start of each relationship, he walks them through a detailed, nine-step process that uncovers their challenges and possibilities, enabling him to chart a course that targets their goals. Clients appreciate his straightforward manner and ability to offer critical insights through honest and thorough conversations.
Bob approaches his role not only as an Advisor but as a teacher, noting that financial literacy is the key to ensuring that clients feel empowered to make good decisions about their present and future financial lives. Above all, he believes that successful relationships are centered around trust, and he takes pride in helping clients rest easily, knowing he is at the helm.
As a member of J.P. Morgan's Portfolio Manager Program, Bob is one of a select group of Advisors who undergo a screening process to manage discretionary portfolios and are subject to ongoing qualitative and quantitative reviews to assess their strategies. Navigating these tactical decisions is one of his core strengths.
Over the course of 30-plus years spent in the financial markets, Bob has worked for some of the world's largest and most respected wealth management firms. He holds an M.A. in Management from The University of Redlands and a B.S. in Business Administration from San Diego State University. His advanced training in high-net-worth wealth management, financial planning, portfolio construction, asset allocation, investment selection and retirement planning help inform his guidance.
A native of Southern California, Bob continues to make his home there with his wife and family.
