About Matthew
Matthew Tomasino is an Executive Director and Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Matt brings an institutional-caliber level of capital markets and portfolio management experience to guide high-net-worth individuals and families along their wealth journey. He is especially grounded in the challenges faced by those entering the retirement phase of their lives and leans on his deep background to give them the peace of mind that comes from knowing their assets are being carefully managed and their future is secure.
After years of crafting investment strategies for financial advisors, wealth managers and planners, Matt has developed a strong foundation in portfolio construction along with a deep understanding of the markets and a broad network to draw from. He understands the importance of relationship-building and takes pride in the trust his clients place in him as he works to help them make important decisions around wealth planning to pursue their ultimate goals.
As a member of J.P. Morgan's Portfolio Manager Program, Matt is one of a select group of Advisors who undergo a screening process to manage discretionary portfolios and are subject to ongoing qualitative and quantitative reviews to assess their strategies. He leverages that in his work with clients, formulating approaches that account for their individualized risk tolerances and goals.
Matt joined J.P. Morgan from First Eagle Investment Management. There, he provided institutional consulting on investment strategies to a range of financial professionals. Matt held similar roles at Lord, Abbett & Co. and Highland Capital Management during the course of his career over the last decade.
Raised in an entrepreneurial family, Matt previously ran his own business, which he founded in 2012. This experience gave him keen insights into the challenges and risks faced by business owners.
Matt holds a B.S. in Finance from West Chester University and has earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst® designation. Cognizant of the ever-changing economic terrain and fast pace of the industry, he is constantly educating himself on the latest insights.
Nothing is more important to Matt than his family. A married father of two, he is an active and engaged dad to a young son and daughter. He is a native of Long Island and moved to Los Angeles over 10 years ago. When he can find moments of free time, he likes to read and surf.
