About Kevin

Kevin Martin is a Wealth Advisor with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

Kevin's experience falls at the intersection of both the entertainment and financial industries, which has provided him with a unique viewpoint on the sophisticated wealth planning needs of Hollywood professionals. He tailors strategies to each individual's goals and risk tolerance to grow and preserve their assets across the many stages of their career.

Whether clients are new to the field or veteran actors, Kevin helps guide them through what are often complex financial decisions. He is highly familiar with the various compensation structures and offers insights into long-term investing, cash flow management, and other approaches that help make the most of the opportunities at hand.

Before pivoting to a career in Wealth Management, Kevin was a professional television actor, best known for his 5-season starring role on TNT's action show "The Last Ship." It was at this time that he began studying certified financial planning at UCLA and alternative investments through an online course at Harvard Business School in-between seasons. The television set quickly took note of Kevin's intense focus on finance and began asking if he could manage their investments. This led to his transition from entertainment to offering wealth management for high-net-worth individuals.

Kevin earned a B.A. in Fine Arts from UCLA. He is currently pursuing his M.B.A. at Texas A&M University and is completing the final requirement to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) professional.

Originally from the Midwest, Kevin brings his strong family values to the West Coast. He and his wife enjoy connecting with other like-minded people.
