About Steven
Steven Tann is an Executive Director and Wealth Advisor with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management. He helps create, implement and manage tailored portfolios for high-net-worth individuals, entertainment professionals, small business owners and retirees. Steven also advises technology-sector executives on various corporate, banking and lending services. He is particularly focused on financial planning, helping to ensure that his clients' assets are positioned to pursue long-term objectives. Steven is dedicated to maintaining strong relationships with his clients, and encourages regular communication, dictated by their needs and comfort level, to keep them informed about the process and steps involved in seeking to reach their goals.
Steven's investment management experience began as an intern at Bear Stearns while he was in college. He went on to build a successful 17-year career in television production and management, where he observed fellow industry executives who oftentimes lacked proper preparation for their long-term financial futures. Recognizing an opportunity to assist others in addressing this important need, Steven returned to the financial services industry to build a second career.
From 1984 to 1989, Steven was an Investment Associate with Bear Stearns. He then joined Triad Artists in 1989, and held senior executive positions at Spelling Television, Columbia TriStar Television, New Line Cinema and 3 Arts Entertainment from 1995 to 2005. He moved to ABC Studios as Head of Current Programming through 2008. Steven returned to financial services in 2010, joining Morgan Stanley as a Financial Advisor and moving to his current role at J.P. Morgan in 2012.
Growing up in the suburbs of Michigan and Southern Florida, Steven graduated from the University of Southern California, where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration. He lives in West Los Angeles with his two rescued Rottweilers, Ella and Hera. In his free time, Steven likes to golf, play tennis, ski and practice martial arts. He is active in his community, volunteering as a mentor to inner-city youth.
