About Mark
Mark Kordes is an Executive Director and Wealth Planner covering the Southeast Region for J.P. Morgan Wealth Management's Wealth Planning and Advice team.
Mark brings nearly 40 years of wealth management experience to his role. He has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) certification as well the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®) designations.
Before joining J.P. Morgan Wealth Management in 2023, Mark was with First Republic as a Managing Director since 2022. Previously, he worked in both client-facing and corporate management positions for Advisors Capital Management, HSBC in Hong Kong and at UBS and Merrill Lynch in the U.S.
Mark currently serves on the Academic Advisory Panel of the Financial Planning Standards Board for the International CFP® and has recently served on their Professional Standards Committee. He has also served on the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards for the United States CFP® as a past Chair of their Council on Education. He currently serves on the Wealth Management Cooperation Committee of the Asian Financial Cooperation Association (AFCA).
Mark has an M.S. in Financial Services from The American College of Financial Services. He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP), the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the Palm Beach County Estate Planning Council, the Greater Boca Raton Estate Planning Council and the Palm Beach Tax Institute.
Mark and his family make their home in Delray Beach, Florida.
