About Miguel

Miguel Ramirez is an Executive Director and the Area Product Owner for Full-Service Margin Lending at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

Drawing from extensive experience acquired over 20-plus years working in the margin space, Miguel's primary focus is on delivering tools that help to uplift the overall user experience. He partners with stakeholders across the firm, identifying opportunities to improve the firm's offering through the advancement of core systems. He provides written content that explains each product and participates in industry-wide forums with regulators to keep apprised of current trends, risks and updates.

Miguel began his career at J.P. Morgan more than two decades ago in the Retail Margin department within Operations. From there, he took a role in Custom Credit, focusing on a broad range of specialized brokerage loans. Innately curious, Miguel continuously learns more about the firm's offerings, which he says is a testament to the situational complexities involved with margin. Even so, his knowledge base is such that over the years, he has been tapped to develop training courses that give an overview of the margin product for the firm. He holds FINRA Series 4, 7, 24 and 99 securities licenses.

Miguel lives in New Jersey with his wife and two children, along with their dog and hermit crab. He enjoys the simple things in life: the smell of a charcoal BBQ, a good game on the TV and watching his kids' personalities develop.
