About Mikael

Mikael Lemieux is an Executive Director and Wealth Planner on the Athlete Center of Excellence team at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

Mik strives to help empower the athlete community by simplifying the complexities that accompany athletic careers at every stage—whether they are emerging talents, current professionals or post-career.

Drawing on a background deeply rooted in professional hockey, Mik understands that financial literacy for athletes isn't just important—it's essential. By providing personalized financial education and fostering genuine connections, he and his team support athletes in leveraging resources and building habits that can help sustain their financial well-being long after their playing days.

Before fully focusing his practice on the athlete community, Mik led a private banking team at J.P. Morgan, where he took a concierge approach to managing the finances and investments for a group of high-profile individuals and families that included professional athletes. He holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, a credential that reflects rigorous training in the principles of comprehensive financial planning.

Mik’s family established the Mario Lemieux Foundation, which has supported cancer research and various hospital initiatives for more than 35 years. Through hard work and perseverance, they have made a meaningful impact both within the Pittsburgh region and nationally. Mik works alongside his family to advance the Foundation’s mission and engage the next generation of business leaders in its efforts.

CFP Board owns the marks CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® in the U.S.
