About Jerry
Jerry Altschul is an Executive Director and Investment Associate at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Jerry draws on more than three decades of experience in investment manager research, analysis and product management. Within Maybach Partners, he is responsible for overseeing the team's equity investments, applying the knowledge he has gained to help clients mitigate risk and capitalize on a wider opportunity set. He offers a far-sighted perspective on global markets, macro-economic conditions, and monetary and fiscal policy, bolstered by the firm's award winning research.
Intellectually curious, Jerry stays abreast of market trends to help clients anticipate and understand the potential impact these factors can have on their portfolios. Working in concert with his team, he looks to manage down-side risk, while uncovering opportunities for growth. He points to the team's fiduciary mindset as a key differentiator of their approach—one that seeks a client's best interests at all times.
Jerry joined the firm in 2004. Prior to his current role with Maybach Partners, he was a member of the Investments & Advice team. In his capacity, Jerry provided asset allocation, portfolio and investment management consulting to J.P. He began his financial services career in 1992 at Prudential Securities, where he focused on managed account trading and operations. Jerry earned his MBA from Baruch College and holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation.
Jerry enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children. Passionate about music, he plays guitar in his free time.
