Michael Reiss is an Executive Director and Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Mike has found that experience matters to clients who are successful wealth creators establishing a legacy for the future and desire a trusted advocate to help navigate sophisticated financial decisions. He has been a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) professional for more than twenty-five years and leads with long-term wealth strategies that align with each individual's specific financial goals. What differentiates him from other advisors are his years spent providing investment research insights to institutional investors. This background is a value-added benefit for individuals and families and he communicates complex concepts in clear, easy-to-understand terms that give them the confidence their wealth is being carefully managed.
Throughout his career, Mike has amassed a strong track record of managing portfolios and allocating assets across equities, fixed income, alternative vehicles and structured notes. Before joining J.P. Morgan in 2023, he was a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley for nearly a decade. Previously, Mike was the Director of Research Sales at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, serving the needs of hedge funds, endowments, universities and insurance companies. He is well-networked within the financial industry and has hosted events and connected like-minded individuals so they can explore synergistic ideas.
Mike graduated from the College of New Jersey with a B.S. in Economics. He helps mentor TCNJ students interested in the financial services industry as they begin their professional journeys. Mike has completed the level II exam for the Certified Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation. He is pursuing additional training in financial advisory for the sports and entertainment industries.
A stakeholder in the Basking Ridge community where he lives with his wife, Jill, and two sons, Liam and Logan, Mike is a member of the Ridge Sports Foundation charged with raising funds for enhancements to the high school. He is a big sports fan and former coach who enjoys traveling to watch his kids' universities to root for their college football and basketball teams. To relax, he loves golf, exercising, and spending time with his family.
