About Jeff
Jeff Burke is a Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Jeff has over 20 years of experience in Private Banking/Wealth Management, the vast majority of that time spent at the J.P. Morgan Private Bank. He knows J.P. Morgan and its capabilities exceptionally well and delivers comprehensive wealth management for individuals and their families.
Jeff began his wealth management career at J.P. Morgan, advising successful individuals and their families following the completion of an M.B.A. at the University of Chicago. He was promoted to numerous executive and management roles at the J.P. Morgan Private Bank, and helped build large pieces of the J.P. Morgan offering. Jeff ran many training programs for hundreds of Advisors, was a "Coach/Manager" in various cities, and was entrusted with a national responsibility as Head of the U.S. Private Wealth Management Investments business.
A few years ago, Jeff made the decision to return to a pure focus on client work, with no management responsibilities—just pure client engagement and interaction. As Jeff likes to say, he now has the pleasure of "just doing the fun and emotionally rewarding part!"
Jeff works with a select group of clients who are each unique. They have a wide range of goals, and often have different levels of experience in managing their wealth. Some clients want to be very involved and say, "Please do it with me." Others who prefer to entrust Jeff and team—and once parameters/mandates are agreed to—instead say, "Please do it for me." He and his team are welcoming and well-equipped to serve these often-unique clients exceptionally well.
Jeff draws on his deep knowledge and experience to actively listen to clients' goals, priorities, aspirations, concerns and challenges. He then guides them through a range of customized services, if applicable— wealth modeling, planning, structuring, investment selection, portfolio construction, lending (credit/mortgages), banking and estate planning strategies. He provides thoughtful and bespoke connections to J.P. Morgan's breadth of resources to help clients navigate their wealth journey with confidence.
A great listener, Jeff possesses a terrific ability to navigate the firm, helping to find optimal and cost-effective strategies that match specific client needs. He and his team provide exceptional client service.
Jeff holds an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation. He graduated with a B.A. from Rutgers University.
A native of New Jersey, Jeff grew up in Livingston, spending summers in Point Pleasant and on Long Beach Island. He now lives in Weehawken with his wife and their four children in a home filled with music. Travel is his family's passion. Jeff is deeply involved at the Dwight-Englewood School where his children attend, serving multiple years as a Class Representative, engaging with the Parents' Association, working with the Admissions Office and assisting with fundraising.
