About Jordan
Jordan Mayer is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
For more than 35 years, he has served the best interests of an elite clientele wealthy individuals and families, as well as corporations, municipalities and non profit organizations.
Jordan has built an industry-wide reputation for his ability to meet the complex asset and wealth management needs of clients with significant wealth. His investment philosophy reflects his ability to balance growth and income opportunities, while looking to minimize downside risk. He feels privileged to lead a team that offers clients an uncommon blend of acumen, attention and personal care.
Always interested in the intellectual challenge of interacting with dynamic markets and fascinating people, Jordan finds it inspiring to work closely with clients, colleagues and other professionals. Recognizing that developing the right strategy is a group endeavor, he believes in the importance of supporting each team member emotionally, intellectually and financially.
In addition to his decades of experience, Jordan finds that his ongoing industry training offers him knowledge and a fresh perspective he can apply on a daily basis. He holds the CPWA® designation from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business, the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation from Fi360 Inc., and the CIMA® certification from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He also holds a Bachelor's degree from Hofstra University.
Jordan makes his home in New York City and Sag Harbor with his wife, Leslie, a former marketing executive who is a co-producer of Broadway musicals and a leader in the non-profit and New York theater community. Jordan and Leslie have two daughters. Jennifer is his colleague at Maybach Partners. Carly and her husband, Matt, are both child psychologists, and parents of a young son.
Like many of his clients, Jordan believes in serving the greater good. He is a longtime supporter of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Rosie O'Donnell's Theater Kids, Bay Street Theater and other social causes that are important to him. He also supports his daughters, Jennifer and Carly—rooting for the football and basketball teams of University of Michigan (their alma mater). An avid traveler, theater-goer, and lover of fine art, Jordan is also a car enthusiast, boater and a hopeful New York Knicks and Giants fan.
