About Sophie
Sophie Barnett is a Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Drawing on nearly two decades of financial services experience, Sophie advises a range of successful individuals, including business owners, healthcare professionals, commercial real estate developers and firstgeneration wealth creators whose needs have evolved into a more sophisticated set of objectives. She understands a client’s desire to make the best use of their personal assets, and she helps them create and implement an individualized wealth plan, freeing them to focus on their work and family.
Sophie’s ability to see the ‘big picture’ stems from her deep background encompassing the financial markets, financial planning, credit management, banking, lending and equity-indexed annuities. She offers direct access to a broad base of knowledge and best practices used by others who have walked a similar path.
Sophie joined J.P. Morgan in 2019 as a Private Client Banker from her role as the founder of a consulting firm, where she advised clients on all aspects of growing their businesses. This entrepreneurial experience gave her a first-hand appreciation for the risks and challenges clients often face.
Earlier, Sophie was an Executive Vice President at Patriot Brokerage Services, leading the planning and execution of business development and growth strategies. She was previously the Director of New Business Development at Pinnacle Advisors Group. She launched her career in 2007 as a Credit Manager at Wells Fargo, serving as a full-service loan originator assisting clients with managing their debt and building their credit.
A graduate of Salem State University, Sophie holds a B.S. in Political Science and has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® and Wealth Management Certified Professional® certifications. She passed the FINRA SIE® exam and holds Series 6, 7, 63 and 66 securities licenses, along with a Life and Health (NY) license.
Born in Kenya, educated in Massachusetts and a former resident of Dallas, Sophie recently relocated to New York City. In her free time, she is an avid reader, jazz aficionado and traveler.
