About Mel

Mel Fishman is a Managing Director and Wealth Advisor with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

He provides investment management services for a variety of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, corporate executives, families, and pension and retirement plans.

Mel has 50-plus years of financial services industry experience, and his lengthy tenure provides a particular perspective in successfully serving clients. He credits his commitment to treating each individual with care and concern, and accurately assessing their level of risk, as the primary components in successfully creating and tailoring a personal investment strategy for them.

Relying on J.P. Morgan's planning and asset allocation capabilities as a foundation, Mel conducts extensive research on targeted equities and fixed income to build his clients' portfolios. He focuses on large, leadingedge companies in basic industries comprising food, pharmaceuticals, finance and technology. He further augments the process by accessing J.P. Morgan's select group of asset managers to provide exposure to a broader range of investments.

Mel believes his ability to form personal relationships with his clients is a testament to the service he provides. The end result is frequent referrals of friends and family members to also benefit from the attention he gives.

A graduate of Adelphi University, Mel began his career in financial services at Shields & Company in 1966. He was with A.G. Becker before joining a J.P. Morgan predecessor firm in 1984.

Mel considers his job to be his primary hobby, but manages to make time for golf and his grandchildren.
