About Marc
Marc Karstaedt is an Executive Director and Wealth Partner at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
As the founder of The Karstaedt Group, Marc introduces financial strategies, asset management and wealth transfer into his goals-oriented wealth management practice. He is committed to forging multigenerational client relationships and he makes it his goal to help each client shape the legacy that they would like to bequeath to their heirs.
Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Marc was a Senior Vice President, Senior Financial Advisor and Portfolio Manager at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. He has enjoyed a successful career of over 30 years in wealth management on Wall Street, also working for Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley for over two decades. Marc's long tenure in the financial services industry has proven invaluable in navigating complicated market conditions. He feels this background is essential in crafting complete financial guidance for his clients.
Marc attended the University of the Witwatersrand, in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree. In 1990, he completed his Computer Technology and Applications (CTA) designation at Columbia University, subsequently specializing in relational database design and implementation. An active member of his community, Marc supports a number of charitable causes.
