About Kevin
Kevin McCooey is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
As a senior partner of the MKV Group, Kevin offers wealth management services for high-net-worth individuals, corporate executives and institutions. With over 15 years of experience on Wall Street, he delivers investment research, portfolio strategies, and asset management.
Kevin and his team have significant background and capabilities in the areas of restricted stock plans, corporate liquidity events, and sophisticated trust and estate strategies. Offering select access and due diligence to a hand-picked roster of money managers, Kevin has served as a trusted advisor to a number of private foundations, school endowments, and charitable organizations. A major focus of the team has been sales and trading coverage for equity and fixed income money managers and hedge funds ranging from $50MM to $1.2B.
The markets are a family business for Kevin and his entrepreneurial spirit runs deep. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 2015, he spent more than 15 years as an Investment Representative, first at Lehman Brothers Private Investment Management and later at Barclays, after its acquisition of Lehman in 2008. From 1998-1999, Kevin worked in Institutional Sales Coverage at The Griswold Company, an independent brokerage firm on the New York Stock Exchange founded by his family.
Kevin has served in a number of different capacities for the New York Football Giants, ranging from the Marketing Division to the On-Field Player Personnel Department. Kevin also spent two years with the National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) in the Salary Cap and Contracts Division as well as working with IMG, one of the largest independent sports marketing and management firms in the world.
Kevin earned his B.A. degree from Georgetown University in 1999. He is married and lives with his family in Rye, NY.
