About Christopher
Chris Lawrence is a Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Chris works closely with a diverse range of families and individuals, across the country and overseas, who are engaging, innovative and passionate about their craft— corporate officers, executives, entrepreneurs, founders, business owners, and professionals, who have built successful businesses and/or careers. A former practicing attorney, he is a trusted advisor by essence, and brings a holistic approach to wealth planning and investment management strategies. Chris invests the time to learn each individual's specific financial scenario, aspirations and challenges so he may developing strategies that can help pursue their goals.
Fluent in English and French, Chris is a native of Switzerland, and grew up in the international capital of Wealth Management, where he also worked with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families from across the globe. This international upbringing have afforded him a strong appreciation for various cultures and unique stories. He advises US, international and expatriate individuals and families (including French-speaking), many of whom are in need of holistic and comprehensive wealth management. Chris is backed by the broader resources of his team and by the depth and breadth of J.P. Morgan's capabilities. With his vast network, he leverages inside and outside resources— including the J.P. Morgan Business and Commercial Bank, as well as real estate agents, CPAs, attorneys, among others —to introduce like-minded experts who can help provide a seamless experience to his clients.
Before pivoting to a Wealth Advisor, Chris was an attorney with J.P. Morgan Private Bank covering international clients and investment management products in Switzerland. He is a Swiss qualified attorney, and holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master in Business Law from the University of Geneva.
Deeply involved in his community, and passionate about enabling education and access for others, he sits on the Advisory Board of Malaika, a foundation that provides education (K-12) and food to girls in the Democratic Republic of Congo, as well as on the Board of a neighborhood association, which is the oldest neighborhood association in New York City. Outside of the office, Chris is passionate about history and the arts, cooking for his friends and family, as well as playing tennis or cycling.
