Abe Borenstein is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Abe Borenstein works closely with clients to address meaningful issues in their lives and wealth. He enjoys engaging in robust discussions with clients, helping them discern what they want to accomplish and creating the structure to pursue those goals more effectively. A strong relationship-builder, Abe brings insight and enthusiasm to his role. He provides sustained leaadership and thoughtful advice, reducing the complexity of clients' financial lives.
Clients from varied paths seek Abe's guidance. Some are anticipating retirement or already enjoying that milestone. Others are actively building their wealth or preparing to transfer that wealth to the next generation. Whatever a client's path, Abe is proud to deliver a high-performing culture grounded in a relentless service ethic. He offers a genuine appreciation for people and their priorities, eager to contribute to each client's success.
Abe draws on more than 30 years of investment experience, which has exposed him to multiple market cycles. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Wealth Management in 2023, he spent more than sixteen years with First Republic Private Wealth Management, where he was a Senior Managing Director and Wealth Manager. Abe's career also includes tenures with Ryan Beck & Company and Prudential Securities. In addition to his experience as a Wealth Manager, he has served as a Branch Manager, providing him with broad experience across the industry.
Abe earned his B.B.A. from Bernard Baruch College, City University of New York, with an emphasis in Finance. He holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation.
Committed to his community, Abe has volunteered with Streetwise Partners, providing advice and job coaching to underserved young professionals. He also serves as an Arbitrator for FINRA. An avid endurance fitness athlete, Abe has completed more than 30 marathons and has finished numerous Ironman races, making him an official "IRONMAN." He has also completed numerous shorter distance triathlons, including half's (70.3 miles), Olympics, and the Alcatraz swim triathlon. In 2018, Abe competed in the Race Across America, a 3,100-mile bicycle race across the U.S. as a member of a 6-person relay team. His bucket list "never ends," so he enjoys devising new challenges to enrich his life.
Abe lives in New York City with his wife, Cathy Brown, and has two daughters.
