About Paul
Paul Emata is a Managing Director and Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
With more than 25 years of wide-ranging financial experience in the U.S. and Europe, he brings generations of families a global mindset that informs his management of their portfolios and overall wealth.
From the planning stage of each client relationship through the design and deployment of their assets, Paul utilizes his extensive qualifications and his knowledge of investments, derivatives, options, trusts and credit. He is happy to share his insights with clients on how geo-political conditions, currency and interest rate fluctuation, and other factors can affect their investments.
Paul joined J.P. Morgan in 2023 from First Republic, where he worked since 2014. Before that, he was the Chief Investment Officer and Director of Investments at PNC Bank Delaware. Paul's previous experience includes more than 15 years with Hornblower Fischer AG in Munich, Germany in roles of increasing seniority including Managing Partner, Investment Strategist and Portfolio Manager.
While living in Germany, Paul performed frequently with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra and Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, demonstrating his musical talents as a classical pianist.
Paul participates in the CFA Institute continuing education program, the Certified Financial Planning continuing education program, and the Global Association of Risk Professionals continuing education program. He is a member and a past president of the CFA Society of Philadelphia, a member of the CMT (Chartered Market Technicians) Association, a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals, and a former member of the German Association of Investment Professionals (now CFA Society Germany).
Paul holds a B.S. and M.S. from Indiana University. He is a CFA® Charterholder, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) professional and a holder of the Chartered Market Technician (CMT) and Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designations.
