About Ryan

Ryan Carney is a Vice President and Investment Associate at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

He joined the firm in 2023 after one year spent with the team at First Republic. Before that, he worked at UBS Private Wealth Management for nine years.

As part of the group's investment committee, Ryan works alongside colleagues and clients alike. His responsibilities include talking to outside money managers, deciding on asset allocation, managing individual portfolios, making recommendations including those for alternative investments, and handling review calls with many of the group's clients and their families.

Recognizing that each client is distinct in their attitudes toward wealth and its purpose, Ryan is diligent in customizing each portfolio to reflect both short-term and long-term objectives.

Ryan earned a B.S.B.A. with a dual focus in Finance and Marketing from Northeastern University, where he swam competitively. Following in the footsteps of his father, a professional golfer, he works hard to improve his game while also enjoying skiing. In addition to being a longtime New York Yankees fan, Ryan has demonstrated his passion for professional soccer—running the Twitter feed for the Chelsea F.C. in America fan group. These days, he runs a "beer" account on Instagram, traveling with his wife, Anne, to breweries around the country. He and Anne reside in Manhattan.
