About Peter
Peter Kunze is a Wealth Advisor with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
As a member of The GGC Group, Peter works with high-net-worth individuals and families who seek an experienced source of guidance to educate their family on wealth planning, define investment strategies, build portfolios with traditional and private investments and manage risk exposure. His focus is on assisting them in navigating the full breadth of J.P. Morgan's capabilities to make the best use of their assets.
Peter brings his extensive background in the cross-border business and has a particular interest in working with international clients—domestic professionals who are moving abroad, individuals who have offshore family members, those who may be repatriating to their country of origin and entities that are structured in foreign countries. He serves as a trusted sounding board and subject matter expert to foster innovative investment and wealth management approaches for each client's unique scenario.
For more than a decade, Peter has demonstrated a capacity for overseeing, managing and executing complex initiatives in the international marketplace. He began his J.P. Morgan career as an Analyst, then developed risk and operations management functions.
Most recently, Peter was the Head of J.P. Morgan Advisors Cross-Border initiative, comprised of the entire business unit's offshore nexus client base—both retail and institutional —covered by ~100 financial advisor teams across the U.S. He acted as a liaison with legal, compliance, risk and operations, leveraging his background and deep relationships as the gatekeeper for the organization.
Peter graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a B.A. in History and Economics.
Born and raised in NYC and a current resident of the Cobble Hill area of Brooklyn, Peter and his wife are the proud parents of Millie, born in 2022. Both he and his wife are active in their local community, and he supports his wife's many philanthropic and professional endeavors. In addition to her successful career within entrepreneurship, she currently holds adjunct professorships at MIT and Columbia and has spent over a decade on the board of Brooklyn's Hebrew Educational Society. Peter exercises his intellectual curiosity and passion for self-education through his love of podcasts and reading. To relax, he enjoys travel, skiing, cooking and spending quality time with his family and friends.
