About Bill
Bill Grous is a Managing Director and Wealth Partner with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Bill is a founder of The GGC Group, a team of highly skilled investment and wealth planning professionals who offer clients a full array of capital markets strategies to address their complex needs.
Drawing from his background in sophisticated lending approaches, Bill offers a macro view on the entirety of the balance sheet—mortgages, security-based lines of credit, cash flow management, equity and fixed income trading, private equity investments and more. He is known for his tenacious approach to solving problems, removing obstacles and turning challenges into successes.
As a member of the J.P. Morgan Wealth Management Portfolio Manager Program, Bill is one of a select group of Advisors who undergo a screening process to manage discretionary client portfolios and are subject to ongoing quantitative and qualitative review to assess each investment strategy.
With a career that has spanned nearly four decades, Bill began in the mailroom at Merrill Lynch and worked his way to being the youngest branch operations manager to run a NYC office for the firm. Most recently, he was a Managing Director at Alex. Brown, a Division of Raymond James. Previously, Bill held senior leadership roles in sales and management at Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley.
He joined J.P. Morgan to provide clients with the hands-on attention of a boutique firm coupled with the global strength of one of the most renowned financial institutions in the world.
Born and raised in New York City, Bill earned a B.A. in Applied Mathematics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and studied for his M.B.A. at St. John's University. He has shared his financial knowledge and industry insight via lectures with investors, and has spoken at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Bill is active within the Greek Orthodox community and proudly holds the title of Archon of the Greek Orthodox Church. He resides in Greenwich, Connecticut, with his wife, Rhea, and together, they have two children, Nicholas and Chloe. Bill is an avid and life-long fan of the New York Yankees. He has a passion for travel and international destinations.
