About Daria

Daria Akansu is an Investment Associate at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management, the private wealth management division of J.P. Morgan.

As a member of John Tonzola's wealth management group, she provides support for ultra-high-net-worth clients and their family offices, as well as small institutions such as foundations. Her responsibilities include preparing financial reports and analysis, monitoring securities transactions, money transfers, and addressing any inquiries or requests of clients. She also works in close liaison with the J.P. Morgan Wealth Management Alternative Investments Team to deliver new opportunities in the private equity, hedge fund and real estate investment spaces that meet the tailored needs of the team's sophisticated private clients.

Daria graduated from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University in 2013 with a B.S. in Finance and Economics. With over five years of experience in financial services, she began her career at Morgan Stanley as an Analyst in Commodities and the New Product Approval Group. She then moved to the Wealth Management Capital Markets Team as a Fixed Income Product Controller Associate. Daria then joined J.P. Morgan in September 2017. She holds Series 7 and 66 licenses.

Daria enjoys giving back to her community and was a volunteer for the Everybody Wins! Power Lunch program, a literacy program for elementary school students. She was also on the Social Committee for her analyst class and was an active member of the NYU Recruiting Team, even serving as the NYU Ambassador for her entire class at Morgan Stanley. During her free time, Daria enjoys traveling, attending concerts and playing tennis. She grew up by the Jersey Shore and currently resides on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
