About Bill
Bill Shapiro is a Vice President and Relationship Manager at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Bill works closely with a select group of individuals and families— including founders, entrepreneurs, and corporate executives—to help bring clarity and intention to their investment decisions.
He brings a thoughtful, big-picture perspective to portfolio strategy, balancing long-term growth with near-term liquidity needs. Bill advises clients on their asset allocation and overall portfolio direction, with an emphasis on tax-aware1 , cost-efficient design. He draws on the global resources and thought leadership of J.P. Morgan to inform investment strategy and provide perspective in ever-changing market environments. His experience spans public and private markets, including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments.
What distinguishes Bill is not only his technical experience, but how he applies it. He approaches each relationship with care, perspective, and a deep understanding that investment decisions are rarely made in isolation—they are connected to a family’s broader goals, responsibilities, and long-term vision. He is known for his calm, steady presence, his ability to anticipate needs before they arise, and his clear, thoughtful communication.
As part of Kasandra Schindler’s team, Bill is an integral part of the investment dialogue—helping ensure that each client’s strategy is thoughtfully designed and fully aligned with the broader planning, tax, and legacy considerations that define their wealth.
Before joining Kasandra Schindler, Bill was part of J.P. Morgan Wealth Management’s Investment & Advice group, where he served as a trusted resource to advisors across Southern California and Texas. In that role, he provided guidance on portfolio construction and investment strategy across a wide range of complex client situations.
Bill holds an M.B.A. from NYU Stern School of Business, with concentrations in Finance and Strategy, and earned his B.A. in Economics from Carleton College. He holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses.
Based in Los Angeles, Bill is married with three children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and playing and watching sports.
