Russel DeRemer is a Vice President and Investment Associate at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
An important member of The Lynn Group, Russ plays a pivotal role in delivering sophisticated wealth management solutions to ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families and institutions. His expertise spans alternative investments, portfolio surveillance and strategic asset allocation.
Russ is deeply involved in the team's alternative investment asset allocation and manager selection process, leveraging his extensive knowledge across equities, fixed income, private equity, hedge funds and real estate. He also contributes to portfolio monitoring and asset manager selection, ensuring thoughtful diversification and risk management.
Russ began his career as a sell-side Equity Research Analyst at Credit Suisse before transitioning to the institutional buy-side as an Investor Solutions Analyst at Welton Investment Partners, where he gained experience in multi-strategy alternative investments. In 2019, he joined J.P. Morgan, drawn to the firm's industry-leading platform and the team's strong reputation.
Russ attended Syracuse University for both his undergraduate and graduate studies, earning an M.S. in New Media Management from the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications and graduating summa cum laude with a B.S. in Finance from the Whitman School of Management— all within four years. As a dedicated student-athlete, he competed at the Division I level in Basketball and was recognized as an Academic All-American each year. Russ remains actively involved with his alma mater as a member of the Syracuse University Orange Alumni Club and the Syracuse University Los Angeles Regional Council.
Russ resides in Orange County, CA, with his wife and daughter. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and is a sports enthusiast.
