About Ethan
Ethan Emma is a Managing Director and Wealth Advisor with J.P. Morgan Wealth Management. With over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, he provides comprehensive investment services to a select group of high-net-worth individuals and their families.
Many of his clients are corporate executives who have amassed significant wealth through concentrated positions. Ethan helps them preserve their investments, offering diversified strategies and asset allocation. He also has extensive background attending to the sophisticated and complex requirements of family foundations and trusts.
Ethan takes a multigenerational and highly individualized approach, investing time to understand each client's specific situation and goals, and developing investment strategies that are driven by their needs. He leverages the firm's professional investment managers to provide tailored portfolios that align with financial goals and risk tolerances. Ethan's goal is for clients to think of him first in any financial matter so that he can assist them with the totality of their financial pictures, providing access to trust and estate, credit, banking and lending capabilities.
He began his career in 1991 in the training program at Shearson Lehman. Ethan's early focus was on the delivery of investment advice to corporate executives at healthcare and biotech companies. He joined Dillon, Read & Co. in 1997 and then J.P. Morgan predecessor firm Bear Stearns in 2001, eventually segueing to his current position at J.P. Morgan in 2008.
A lifelong New York City resident, Ethan is a graduate of the Browning School in Manhattan. He attended Cornell University, earning a B.S., and remains active in his fraternity's professional network.
Married for 30 years, he, his wife and his daughter split their time between New York City and Palm Beach.
