About Petra

Petra Chien is an Executive Director and Wealth Planner covering the West Coast Region for J.P. Morgan Wealth Management's Wealth Planning and Advice team.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Petra brings more than 20 years of experience in finance, including banking, investments and financial planning. She works with executives, business owners, entrepreneurs and real estate investors, focusing on retirement planning, risk management, asset allocation, tax strategies, business succession, charitable strategies and estate planning.

Petra joined J.P. Morgan Wealth Management in 2023. Prior to joining the firm, she was a Managing Director at First Republic, where she provided comprehensive planning for high-net-worth individuals. Previously, she was a Wealth Strategist at First Bank Wealth Management, a Wealth Specialist at Capital Group Private Client Services and a Financial Planner for Wells Fargo Private Bank.

Petra earned a B.A. with honors from the University of California, San Diego and a Personal Financial Planning certification through the University of California, Los Angeles.
