About Marie
Marie Selby is a Vice President and Investment Associate at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Marie is the lead financial planner for The Leaverton Strahan Team. Licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) with over 15 years of experience in tax advising, estate planning, and trust administration, Marie partners with clients to design strategies to help advance their financial goals and personal priorities. She works closely with clients to integrate and organize multiple facets of their wealth.
Marie provides tailored analysis and strategic insights to individuals, families, and businesses, helping them pursue informed decisions. Collaborative by nature, Marie looks to support clients in discerning their options, engaging in ongoing discussions. She emphasizes that clients' financial plans are dynamic in nature, frequently revisited to reflect changing goals and circumstances, as well as market conditions and tax legislation. Clients look to Marie for an objective perspective that can help them weigh possible paths to their priorities. Mindful of each client's intentions, Marie looks to empower people to assess their options and take steady action.
Prior to moving to J.P. Morgan Wealth Management in 2023, Marie was a Director and Client Relationship Analyst with The Leaverton Strahan Team. Earlier, she served as a Trust Officer and Vice President for First Republic Trust Company as well as a Senior Accountant with local accounting firm, Geffen Mesher.
Marie earned her B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Oregon and her B.S. in Business with a minor in Accounting from Concordia University. She is a Trust School Graduate with Honors from Cannon Financial Institute. Marie is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds the Certified Trust Fiduciary Advisor designation (CTFA).
Eager to give back to her community, Marie is a member of the OHSU Gift Planning Council Committee.
Marie and her husband Tim have two daughters. In her free time, she volunteers as a youth soccer coach.
