Richard Scarpelli is a Managing Director and the East Coast Lead of the Wealth Planning and Advice team at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

A Chartered Financial Consultant®, Richard joined J.P. Morgan Wealth Management in 2023 after heading up Financial Planning at First Republic Private Wealth Management since 2017. He was previously at UBS, as Head of Financial Planning as well as Co-Head of Advanced Planning and as a Senior Wealth Strategist. He developed his career in tax as a Tax Senior for Arthur Andersen in the Private Client Services group, providing individual, partnership and gift tax advice to high-net-worth clients.

Richard earned an M.S. in Taxation and an M.B.A. with a concentration in Accounting from Fordham University School of Business. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of New York.
