About Laurel

Laurel Norris is an Executive Director and Wealth Partner at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Laurel brings clients more than 20 years of wide-ranging wealth management experience. Prior to joining the firm in 2023, she spent two years with her colleagues at First Republic as a Managing Director and Wealth Manager. Before that, she spent 15 years with them at Abbott Downing—a boutique wealth management arm of Wells Fargo, where she was a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager. Previously, Laurel worked at Wells Fargo within the Family Wealth Group and Private Bank. In 2002, she launched her financial career in equity research at Banc of America Securities.
Laurel helps oversee the group's asset allocation, manager selection and tactical adjustments within each client's portfolio. She is particularly skilled in managing multi-asset class portfolios with a concentration of alternative investments.
Passionate about knowing clients exceedingly well, Laurel is devoted to connecting the dots in clients' lives with strategies that satisfy their goals. She relishes the opportunity to serve fascinating people and get to know their families. Engaging clients in thoughtful conversations is emblematic of Laurel's discovery process—one in which she seeks to account for clients' mindsets and motivations.
Laurel is a Certified Investment Management Analyst®(CIMA®) professional and holds the professional designation of Chartered Alternative Investment AnalystSM (CAIA®).
Laurel holds a B.S. in Business Economics from Brown University, where she played varsity volleyball. Today, Laurel coaches her two daughters in volleyball and is active in school fundraising activities. She also enjoys a healthy lifestyle—practicing yoga and cooking alongside her husband, Sean. The family makes its home in Marin County.
