About Michael
Michael Morrone is an Executive Director and Wealth Advisor at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
Michael brings clients more than 15 years of wealth management experience. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan Wealth Management in 2023, he was a Wealth Manager at First Republic. Before First Republic, he was a Managing Director, Relationship Manager at Abbot Downing, Wells Fargo's multi-family office, where he was responsible for managing complex client relationships, whereby he and his team provided asset management, planning, family governance, banking and fiduciary services. Prior to his tenure at Abbot Downing, he was a Senior Financial Planner in Wells Fargo's Wealth Planning Center, a team focused on comprehensive wealth management solutions for ultra-high-net-worth clients with an emphasis on sophisticated wealth transfer planning techniques, income tax planning, charitable planning, and family governance.
Throughout his career, Michael enjoys "the conversation" he has with clients to understand their current situation, as well as anticipate what they strive to accomplish. His approach focuses on providing a holistic wealth management experience customized for each client. Depending on the needs of the client, Michael advises on areas such as estate and wealth transfer planning, philanthropic planning, pre-liquidity planning, asset management, and lending solutions. In addition, he prides himself on taking a collegial approach whereby he works closely with his clients' CPAs and attorneys to ensure coordinated implementation.
Michael holds a B.A. from Colgate University, where he majored in History and minored in Political Science. He received his J.D. from New England Law and his L.L.M. in Corporate and Business Law from the University of San Diego School of Law. He is a member of the California Bar Association.
Outside the office, Michael enjoys mountain biking, surfing, and tennis. He and his wife, Michelle, live in Mill Valley with their two daughters.
