About Seamus

Seamus McElearney is an Investment Associate at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.

In 2023, Seamus joined the firm with his colleagues from First Republic, where he spent two years in a similar role. Prior to that, he was an Investment Associate at Abbott Downing, serving the specialized needs of ultra-high-net-worth families and non-profit organizations.

Seamus's analytical skills, tireless work ethic and commitment to excellence are integral to the group's success and the satisfaction of each client. On any given day, he may analyze client portfolios and asset allocation exposures, provide investment and cash flow analysis, and assist with portfolio re-balancing. He also constructs investment proposals and conducts research on specific investment opportunities.

At an early age, Seamus became curious about how the markets work and how "money makes money." Pursuing his interest, he joined Wells Fargo Private Bank in 2013 and began working with a team managing fixed income portfolios.

Seamus and his fiancée, Kristin, live in the Pleasant Hill area, near San Francisco. Not surprisingly, they can be found on weekends at local wine tastings and exploring the region's restaurants. Seamus is an experienced backpacker who hiked near and far, including the Frank Church Wilderness in Idaho.
